Coterie Insurance
WHAT WE DID
Brand Identity, Collateral Deployment, Copywriting, Iconography, Motion Design and Strategy & Positioning
-
Coterie's robust insurance tools met the needs of a vast range of small businesses, freelancers, industries, and insurance partners, but their brand story was still in the startup phase. They engaged the studio looking to develop an identity that could reach, assist, and grow alongside their impressively diverse group of potential customers.
As no strangers to the digital world, our team repositioned all off Coterie’s touch points to be savvy, tech-forward, and user-friendly. Every interaction with the brand heroes the individuals behind the business, the dreamers and doers, establishing Coterie as the team that can efficiently remove unwanted risk so that small businesses can take bigger swings and do more good. The brand’s cool color palate and approachable type fuses their expansive commercial insurance expertise to the excitement of start-up culture, reflecting the community-focused, interpersonal brand pillars of and positioning them for continuous, disruptive success in the marketplace.
TIM METZNER CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER, COTERIE INSURANCE
“After a year of building Coterie (mostly in stealth mode) it was time to start telling the world who we are. Just one problem, while we didn't hate our brand, we knew it didn't represent the work we had accomplished or our aspirations. In short, we needed a full refresh. Being in Cincinnati, there is no shortage of branding agencies, and we talked to many, but we needed a team who didn't just understand the digital world, it's where they thrive. We also needed a firm who understood what it's like to work nimble and fast, without sacrificing world class results. We wanted our forever brand, something that could grow with us and evolve as we do.
Durham delivered on all fronts, iterating with us until we fell in love. Also, as important as all that, we loved working with them!”
